ye i really liked early game grumps and whenever i have the urge to re watch something i remember that jon is a bad person with insane political beliefs and i can't do it.
He sucks but I still laugh about the Dunkey video where he made a joke about Jontron being racist like half a year before the shit hit the fan.
I must admit to enjoying a dunkey vid from time to time and this is no exception
I wouldn't say zero consequences: Alot of people (The Game Grumps/then advertisers/etc.) cut ties with him and he was gone for almost a year after it happened.
Now enough consequences? That's a different story.
pretty sure him being gone for a year wasn't unusual. He had previously gone very long periods of time without making videos.
He had a sporadic upload schedule certainly, especially after he joined Game Grumps, but even at the time that hiatus was his longest by far.
I remember comments from fans genuinely believing he had retired for good.

Yeah, I was trying to be cheeky. Still, I think we were on track for "normalization" even before JamJon did an epic gamer moment. The fact that, while many people did cut him off, there were a few somewhat popular "Capital G Gamers" who defended him (TotalBiscuit comes to mind) should speak volumes.
I generally try not to judge people on their looks.
