    Something cool to read about: the Red Army Faction was a leftwing German group that went around killing former Nazis and imperialists in general. Hanns Martin Schleyer and probably Alfred Herrhausen were their two most prominent successes.

    A popular German protest chant in my parents' time went something along the lines of 'you're sitting pretty in your cars right now, but just wait and you'll be flying through the air', referring to the bomb that killed Herrhausen.

        He's one of the two people whose Wikipedia articles I linked in my comment. He was Chairman of Deutsche Bank and overall relatively influential in financial circles.
