Seems to be that they think business management can be completely and utterly sanitised down to a 100% metric-based level.
This fails miserably in creative entertainment because what is "fun" exactly? Fun is determined by what your target audience is first and foremost and then catering to that target audience.
They at no point seemed to know what their target audience was throughout any of the process of development. They still don't seem to know. They have actual real talent at the company but the mismanagement and culture is clearly the problem.
This is how executives at most companies think. Your role is all about your "caste", not your skills.
