Probably not a bad thing to lay it out, since people seem to forget that wh40k is at least supposed to be satire.

    When I was a kid, we had bought a starter kit, but mostly played Warhammer Fantasy with cut out plastic squares and cardboard terrain.

    I actually haven't personally played with 3d printed models due to lockdowns, but I've played a bit on tabletop simulator these past two years.

    But you can find 3d printed models for sale cheaper that GW's models, and I've heard they have better print quality too much of the time, though shippings a pain, as GW has cracked down on sellers where they can, meaning most of the people you can buy from are in china. All of this is just what I've heard though; I have my own printer, that while small and slow, has excellent print quality.
