I love the idea of hundreds of small civilizations whose only record of existing is like going to war with Rome/Byzantine Empire or something having an accurate tally of all trades that occur domestically.

    Gonna be funny when in like a few hundred years we meet a space empire and it goes about as well for us as it did for the Gauls
