Did the redditors start thanking the grandpa for his service like in that one thread from way back
If you are a good german Soldier you level up and Become Autobahn...
Turns out hundreds of dead fascists makes for a smooth ride.
:stalin-feels-good:
What other choice did he have! Join the resistance? Defect to the allies? Nonsense! He would have lost his small business if he'd done that!
And the Nazis started to build a railway in Norway with soviet POW's and nearly 3000 of them died. And then we kept quiet about it because we were spooked that the scary gommunists were going to ask for reparations for their deaths.
Imagine taking the train and knowing you'd be crushing dozens of Nazi corpses along the way :bloomer:
When you consider that 3 million Soviet POWs died in German captivity, it's unbelievably mild how these people got treated after the war. ofc, the 3 million dead Soviet POWs are almost never mentioned in Germany, so it doesn't surprise me how easy it is to nudge reactionaries towards revanchist myths about how evil "the Russians" were.
Well, your grandfather sounds like a lying Nazi so of a bitch…
This is like people saying there are 50 workers buried in the Hoover Dam, like the engineers don't care if workers die on the construction site but they will flip out if you toss dead people into the concrete becuase that creates a weak point.
Or the bodies in the Great Wall of China myth; bodies are terrible construction material, since they can't handle as much weight as soil and change volume over time.
Probably "thanks to your grandpa for his service" and quoting the black book of communism
Do they mean buried under each railroad tie? Because there's only two tracks.
Those evil Communists were killing Nazis! Won’t someone think of the Nazis?
