unlike humans, cats are actually carnivores though, please give it a varied diet

This is true for a whole food diet, but we can and do add the necessary amino acids for cat nutrition into the kibble almost all pet cats are fed.

Plant-based cat food costs more though.

They're also not that well tested yet. Vegan dog foods are solid, but vegan cats foods require careful monitoring of the animals' health.

Also, non-vegan cat foods already contain a significant amount of plant matter iirc. Companies started moving in the direction of vegan cat food long ago just because of cost cutting.

Uncritical support for the development of ethical cat food though.

this is not reliable enough. Cats need to eat meat and it is animal abuse not to feed a cat meat.

what if this cat has advanced past her species? I kid, but we should consider pairing her up with a similar male and try to further the species.

I think we tried selective breeding before with one of our pet species, and it didn't go so hot.

On a whole food diet. Kibble, is not a whole food and the amino acids necessary for cat nutrition can and are added to it for plant-based cat food.

You should feed your cat a variety of foods to supplement kibble, including wet food, mean, and organs. If you cannot stomach the idea of an obligate carnivore eating meat please trade your cat for a rabbit.

Pretty stupid to pretend that people do this. Most people just give their cats cat food.

Get your cat some cat grass lol. That's basically the grass of a grain species that your cat could eat like oat grass. They like it for the fiber as others have said.

I’ve remembered one of my cats was kinda samey with cabbage, she’ll get diarrhea afterwards, so prolly good idea to control green chomping (was fine in small amounts though)

It's good to mix some veggies in with their food in wee bites. Kale and spinach are good for kitties. If they eat alot of dry food so e boiled or steamed veg in the food bowl will help them stay hydrated since kitties are used to eating recently dead things and getting most of their water from eating.

You're an obligate omnivore but can still go vegan without issue because we have vitamin supplements, namely B12. We can (relatively) easily develop nutritionally complete vegan cat food, it's just not a general priority and has not been well-studied.

Though letting your cat eat little a lettuce as a treat isn't a vegan cat diet anyways.

I mean yeah, but by definition they can't be vegan? I know they can and do eat grains and veggies from time to time.

Yeamus comes running for salty snacks (namely popcorn and potato chips), also ice cream. Will lick the bowl clean after I'm done

My dog loves broccoli stalks, any vegetable stalk rally.

Hates the leaves though, if I give him a leaf he just chews it a bit and spits it out.

Cats will munch on grasses and stuff, if it's crunchy I imagine she might be into the texture. Mine loves to lick crinkly plastic bags
