I'm not trying to start a struggle session here or anything but don't you think it's fucked up that people commend homicidal maniacs who use the sex offender registry as a hit list

    Facts:

    1. People who act as vigilante investigators in sex offender cases have repeatedly caused perpetrators to walk free because the evidence they collect is collected improperly and can’t be used
    2. A patriarchal society which promotes rape culture and focuses on rugged individualism will inevitably produce vigilantes when leo’s can’t clear enough cases
    3. There is historical precedent for people who had previously been hated as criminal becoming cheered on as heroes as empires collapse
    4. This post is classic BB struggle bait

On one hand, sex offenders are bad.

On the other hand, I wouldn't trust any state institution which registers sex offenders. I can imagine a CEO who only promotes female subordinates who sleep with him not getting on there, but full of homeless people who were ticketed for peeing in a park at 3am.

I know a person whos on the registry because the cops fucked him over for peeing in a public park at night

so yeah, definitely don't go using government registries as if they were well maintained lists of high integrity data

Yeah it's a major kind of retribution-brain that shows a lot of e-leftists are just kind of meh on abolitionism, as if punishment for sex crimes wasn't the excuse used in most lynchings in the Jim Crow era. Like you can go to any nazi forum and find people talking about how they think pedos should be hanged from the neck until dead, no appeal, no trial.

Funny this shows up on my TL now because [A CERTAIN SOMEONE I KNOW] just got a casual visit from the pigs for harassing a r*pist/abuser online until it (sic) "affected his mental health"

anyway yeah it may be reckless but im not exactly gonna complain about it, because if youre on the registry with a verifiable offense you usually have it coming

If you know first hand the abuser and something happens to them, shit that's just a Dixie Chicks song
