But I have a sense of sehnsucht for the slow, cheap, blue-collar, green trains of the Mao era. There’s a good article on all of this here. link

I’m torn. On one hand, I’m a sucker for the high speed rail rolled out throughout China, and that’s what I personally want to ride. But I have a sense of sehnsucht for the slow, cheap, blue-collar, green trains of the Mao era.
