I've read that this video took multiple attempts to make, you can see the editor's cuts as the camera moves focus. Elia was reportedly very difficult to work with as the stories go. I'm not sure what to believe about those stories, but nobody has ever argued against her voice. This song has been covered by every band that was worth a shit, but this duet version with Tom Jobim, the songwriter, is the best version of it I have ever heard.
Here are the English lyrics, but honestly I don't think you need to know Portugese to enjoy it. I barely remember my Spanish lessons from high school and I can follow along just fine.
