They weren't a fed though. You can't accuse every dumbass of working for the government.
You don't have to be employed by the feds to be a fed. You're a fed if you behave like a fed and do the feds work for them. I've also not accused every dumbass of being a fed, there's plenty of dumbasses who are just dumbasses.
