Seattle socialist city councilor Kshama Sawant has been subject to repeated corporate-backed attempts to remove her from office. Last night, she defeated yet another. Despite attacks from some of the world’s most powerful capitalists, Sawant isn’t going anywhere.
Let this be a message to AOC and others - you can win if you stick to your guns. You don't have to capitulate to the establishment.

She could've had that - so many of us thought of her as the successor Bernie because she dropped everything and came to his side back when he had a heart attack and it seemed that's be the end. She would've been perfect - a young, working class woman of color continuously attacked by Trump and even Democrats. I still think she's good, but I feel that moment has definitely passed. She never stood up to the Dems the way Sawant has done. I'm just rambling...
