Spencer rose to prominence after shouting "Hail Trump!" and being greeted with Nazi salutes in Washington shortly after Donald Trump's 2016 election victory.
They look large, but the reality of the actual-fascists is that they're terrible at mobilisation. If you look at the left mobilisation is actually incredibly easy in comparison whether it's for labour actions or the ongoing nightly protests in so many cities.
They are looking at all of this on a nightly basis and thinking "oh shit". They have been TRYING to mobilise opposition, getting small groups of 5-10 people out here and there, getting little cadres that perform hit and run tactics on isolated protesters when they're alone away/after the events. They are absolutely incapable of large mobilisations.
Spencer of all people knows this. He knows the effort it took to get charlottesville's numbers because he was deeply involved in it. There were years that went into building up enough of an image to appeal to the less radical less violent among them. Most attendees are all larp no real bite. There are some real dangerous and violent ones out there but the reality is that the bulk of their "forces" are nothing and won't go anywhere without confidence that they'll outnumber the opposition. They have no solidarity and no collective, this prevents their ability to repeatedly mobilise, not only that but the left fighting the police for so long is building a real experienced fighting force, one that the right is entirely inexperienced in dealing with. They will get crushed in any clash with the left and know it.
They want the left energy suppressed and collapsed while they regroup and find new ways to mobilise. They recognise that getting liberals to stop going outside will achieve this and that's precisely what will happen if Biden is in. If Trump is in Libs are going to continue to be active in the streets.
Right, I'm firmly in this camp.
