Hello! A source that I would recommend is the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network for familiarizing yourself with autism. This is a great organization that focuses very specifically on autistic perspectives and highlights self-advocacy (unlike some organizations that are ran by ableist eugenicist neurotypicals that just want to "cure" us i.e. Autism Speaks).
Under the resources tab on ASAN's website they delve into what autism is, and provide other resources as well! I haven't taken the time to read it yet but I would recommend checking out Welcome to the Autistic Community , this is a book that I feel could be helpful for you with your recent diagnosis (I've heard good things about it!). It's important to find literature and sources that are preferably written or promoted by other autistics, while being critical of those that aren't. We know ourselves the best!
