Don't worry, PK was shitty even before his heel turn. Still remember him trying to convince me that home ownership as a financial instrument was a good thing
That’s not a good thing, it’s a fucking survival mechanism. You’re not bad if you manage to buy a house, but you’re bad if you think it’s a good thing we have to fucking buy houses.
Homeownership is only a good move in our system because everything is carefully constructed to make it that way. Ain't no way anyone who is making less than the top 10 percentile is getting a 30 fucking year 3 fucking percent mortgage outside of the hothouse that is the modern American suburbs and legal framework. I remember reading that prior to the new deal you would take a 10 year 5% mortgage from a bank as the ABSOLUTE BEST you would get and be happy about it.
Even back in the day when I was an anarchist I remember disliking them actually, along many people on the r/anarchism subreddit. They had this whole thing about respectability and optics, and even created that subreddit r/leftwithoutedge. It's doesn't surprise me they became a regular lib tbh.
Last I saw PK logged off for good a few months ago. I always liked him. He had shitty takes sometimes but he was consistent and would usually back up his arguments.

Wait, like the PK from the old sub? Is that what happened to him?
