    On one hand covid lockdowns suck and have unintended consequences. For example my younger brother is getting locked out of playing D1 baseball by nature of several classes worth of players getting free redshirt years to compensate for seasons getting cancelled for covid. On the other hand, there’s like a ducking million people dead holy shit how could you compare the two just shut down the fucking country and copy China’s success wtf. Nothing offsets that just do it it’s the easy and right choice

        He’s just gone to a lower division with the hope of transferring in eventually. That way he can play even if it’s at a lower skill level rather than sitting the bench and waiting his turn if he signed on one of the super deep D1 teams
