      "Enlightenment of the upperclass" sounds so cursed I don't think Im interpreting it correctly.

      Edit: Im frothing at the mouth at the fact that they refused to name exactly what society was authoritarian.

        Maybe enlighten in this case is meant literally, e.g. to be made lighter? The head is, after all, a fairly heavy body part.
