solitary confinement for longer than a couple days is legit torture and they do that to those guys forever.

23 hours a day in a cell, one hour in a tiny concrete outdoor area that can only see sky.

i've had a taste of it before (the whole facility locked down for weeks) but i had an end date i just can't imagine how it would be if neverending. esp cause you get very, very little mental stimulation often no books or anything. and i think at ATX florence they only get tiny, mailbox windows and you can't even see the sky during the 1 hr you just stand around in what looks like a big, empty swimming pool indoors

it's not murder level fucked up but he harassed a girl that rejected him and wrote about having fantasies of mutilating her.

He is held up by the feds and pop culture as an anti-hero precisely because he is not threatening to the system. There has been more media about him than any other terrorist in modern history for a reason.

Someone like Chris Dorner is so much more threatening. That’s why they had to kill him.

I haven't read it myself but I've heard it's got some serious "socialism of fools" vibes where he sees a problem accurately and then prescribes a completely batshit solution. Yeah Ted, the industrial revolution helped concentrate wealth and power at the top, but I don't think the fix for that is to throw all of our computers and medicine in the trash
