according to the one thing i saw she posted about a sexual assault from a high ranking party official so other women would feel like its okay to come forward since she could. 30 minutes later the tweet and her account is taken down and she disappears, then a few days later she gives what appears to be a scripted apology saying she made it up.

Reading through what she wrote, it seems like an older party official abused his position to pressure her into a relationship which she later regretted (and probably did at the time tbh) The dude comes across as a greasy creep and I'd not be at all surprised if he was guilty of sexual assault but it's not amazingly clear from what she did write that sexual assault happened here. China prob needs to do better when it comes to protecting victims of sexual assault but you'd say that about any country. Not to diminish the seriousness of it at all tbh.
Especially the US where they had a billionaire who supplied the ruling classes with children to rape killed in prison.
Yeah I'm sure the weaponisation of sexual assault charges will go about as well as the weaponisation of antisemitism.
