Ukraine said on Sunday that it was vital that Beijing was involved in talks to end the conflict.
It's interesting that even Ukraine knows China is a peacemaker, given they're requesting them to come. It really shows that despite the image the US Empire makes itself as a spreader of "freedom democracy", everyone knows that it's a lie.
The cynical view of this is that Ukraine is trying to use China as a lever against the US, the implication being that Ukraine will serve China another diplomatic win (after Saudi-Iran) if the US doesn't resume support.
I don't think it's going to work even if it's true, but Ukraine doesn't have many levers left.
Yeah, but when Xi called Zelensky offering mediation he heard the bottom line is Crimea, so he just shrugged and was like "at least we tried".
