The Youtube algorithm is off the rails right now. I've got content creators I have subscribed to for years and watch nearly every video of, and I go to my front page and instead of showing me their new video it shows me folks I have unsubscribed from and no longer watch, folks I've never even heard of and have no interest in, or videos I've already seen.

I've got to periodically go through every single one of the creators I subscribe to and add all of their stuff to a giant playlist just to keep track of what I absolutely want to watch but haven't yet because even though it should be ENTIRELY PREDICTABLE what I want to see Youtube has no interest in showing me that unless I go looking for it. It's absolutely nonsensical.

The saddest thing is watching content creators make clickbait videos for half their videos now instead of the stuff they want to make, specifically because it's the only way they get views or can make money anymore because the clickbait bullshit is the only thing Youtube promotes. Plenty of creators have been talking about this for years and it just keeps getting worse.

I never look at the home page and go straight to https://www.youtube.com/feed/subscriptions which shows all the videos chronologically.

True to a degree, but about 3 years ago YT started hiding random videos from the subs (a form of shadowbanning). I still miss good stuff because YT is a fiddly bastard.
