Get involved in issues organizing rather than party organizing.
Issues organizing has so much less of this sort of bullshit because everyone arrives on the same page about a particular thing, rather than needing to do a lot of the painful work required to do something different. Also interpersonal aspects don't really matter as much with issues organizing.
Issues organizing is not going to bring about socialism, but it certainly can make people's lives easier in the meantime.
cracksmoke2020 is right. Parties without any social force propping them up are just filled with cranks who have politics as their hobby. Like us here. I would say anyone proudly identifying with any political tendency is suspect
You are right and are being heavily downvoted.
The same people that will shake their heads at the call out will perfectly go out and call others red fash or anarkiddies with a straight face.
Fuck that guy. You don’t deserve that experience. You deserve time to yourself if you need it.
Name and shame (if you're comfortable) they deserve to be called our and shamed for behavior like that.
That fucking sucks. I'd like to say this isn't common, but a decent chunk of the older partyist orgs have a fanatically TERF-y old guard and they need purging. Not most, but many
That said, most leftist orgs aren't that, and I've seen more comradely left unity and getting our shit together in the last 5 years than anytime in my life. I'm more and more convinced that a Vanguard party will form out of a base of smaller mutual aid and activist networks with well-read people from multiple tendencies, that will slowly bring the political orgs on-board. Not from some 6th order split from the 4th international. Try some of those tactically focused groups.
If you need to take time to grill, get connected to your friends and material conditions again, do it. Really. At some point capitalism will intrude, and then you'll have something to do. We'll pick up the slack.
Just don't lose the cause.
