What do you mean find? IIRC correctly the American sub was tracking them until he engaged magic water jet engine and momentarily lost contact and immediately a few scenes later the sonar guy realizes the sub is now making some underwater magma sound or something which he figures it is man made, so after looking at it again they realize they were tracking him all along. I liked the movie mostly because of Sean Connery who quit hollywood because it was too stupid for him lol and despite the stupid plot and lib tones

The meetup I don't remember though but it was definitely near the end.
