Why would you smoke something and deliberatelynot inhale? The dinguses who cooked up cigars missed the entire point of smoking. Get that shit in my lungs or stop wasting my breath.

I'm not a smoker but from what I understand it's because the smoke from a cigar is too harsh to inhale. From what I understand inhalable tobacco smoke is a relatively recent development and counterintuitively actually made smoking even more harmful

Great article about that here: https://www.currentaffairs.org/2021/02/knowledge-is-not-power-why-cigarettes-still-appeal

It's not too harsh, it just has way too much nicotine. Even if you are a regular smoker, if you I have cigar smoke it will make you lightheaded and possibly vomit. If you aren't a smoker, two lung hits of a cigar is almost 100% going to make you vomit, and you may even faint.

Cigarettes differ from most commodities in two important ways. First, they cause cancer.

Alcohol is also an incredibly powerful carcinogen, it's just that consuming 12 beers a day is a lot rougher on your ability to function vs smoking a pack a day. Plus middle class weenies like a drink and they can't complain about it being yucky.

They actually tried that once, prohibition
