    the subtext of that line seems to me to be glee at cheap labor, like capitalists who said it wanted it to be true and were projecting their subconscious fraction of disgust with themselves onto the Chinese

        also china really just let the west do the imperialism and actually subsidized a lot of it to make things not completely shit for the working class in china. they get the means and some growing pains while not pulling out the slavers whip
