My cousins thought going shopping for deals the day after Xmas was worth it. Two old people in ICU and three of my cousins sick with covid, so far. No one wears masks and only my uncle is vaxxed. They got a 70" Sony OLED TV for $2400 though. Totally worth it putting both of their parents, my aunt and uncle in the hospital.
I am convinced we spread it at our small Christmas Eve gathering. Haven't been able to get tested but 5 of us in three different households came down with mild COVID symptoms a week later ranging from just a sore throat to a low fever and coughing. All dissipated after a few days and I think I was the longest at like 5 days. We're all vaxxed and most of us had boosters, so it's no surprise it was so mild, but when I try telling my family that they get pissed and act like there's no way we could have spread the most contagious disease ever.
Also the hosts of the party both work in a hospital. Not accusing them, but they were definitely exposed.
