We’ve now studied nearly 700 who have been arrested, and we’ve brought the study up to date as of early December. What we see is, over half of those who have been arrested aren't typical right wing extremists but downwardly mobile petty bourgeoisie.

Yes. But according to this researcher only 13% of those arrested were members of right wing extremist (RWE) groups. Apparently RWE are young ( 2/3 under 34), unemployed (25%), uneducated (90% have no college degree), veteran (40%), criminals (64%). But the arrested have demographics more typical of mainstream, white, genX (40-50 year old) Americans.

Of course, this assumes the arrested are a representative group. Maybe they only caught rioters while ineffectual insurectionists at least practiced good opsec.
