  • No one looks like Jenna Jameson irl either but people react to her body in a sexual manner regardless. You are far off into the weeds if you are going to ignore the unreality of VR and the utility of large expressive, clear eyes and skin and how people will more easily interact with fictitious nonthreatening figures with exaggerated markers of health and beauty more readily than with an uncanny valley monstrosity.

And yes, people will want to fuck the cute bunny cop and are thus more likely to interact with her avatar than with a mangy, three-legged dog avatar. The lack of diseased and disabled avatars is disgustingingly ableist is it not?

  • If people find out you are a dog on a forum or anonymous social media you will never hear the end of it. Expect to be harassed for your identity no matter who you are if you are foolish enough to reveal any personal aspects. Everyone gets trolled online.

Are you really going to tell me these cishet "staring at an ass for 60 lvls" chuds use female avatars in solidarity with women?

A more apt and less triggering metaphor is walking through the target with an AR-15 slung over your shoulder.

Except this kind of dipshittery is accepted in American society. Yet OTOH, reactionaries do sleep with knives, bats, and shotguns under the bed too so this behavior is pretty normalized. Damn it! These metephors only works on libs!

  • Really? Because I was rooting for the robots by the end of episode one. I felt that if this was the last of humanity then we might as well end it because they aren't just bad human beings, but incredibly stupid too. It's no wonder they are losing the war, because female protagonist is the only person in the world that doesn't waste resources and maintains her tools of war. I mean that's just good sense, even if you don't recognize the humanity of your front-line soldiers, but somehow that made her operator numero uno in the 86 universe. So what differentiated this show from the civil war movie, Glory, exactly?

  • Then in 2011 a woman came out saying that there was sexism in the atheist community (I think something about someone being sexually assaulted in an elevator

Nothing that extreme. She was sexually propositioned by a creep in an elevator and tweeted out to the community, "don't be a creep.", after which the community split into pro-creep and anti-creep factions.

It's bound to happen to any asocial community. Among a group of people who shun society there will be those that are rightly shunned by society and the asocial community will have to purge that antisocial element.
