I doubt that TBH, Democrats have maintained lockstep and despite them gesturing to stop some of the violence, I think Israel benefits more from having "reasonable moderates" in power than bloodthirsty fascists who will drag them even lower by association. Not that Biden isn't a bloodthirsty monster, of course.
Yes, but it looks like Israel isn't ready for war with Lebanon, and they're being isolated more as their genocide goes on, so I don't think the hardliners will get their way. Long term, they need to slow down right now if they want to keep control (lest they lose the empire too much credibility and need to get couped).
Israel s was being normalized and accepted by the nearby countries.. but they just had to post about doing a genocide and making everyone remember that Gaza exists.
