This copypasta also doesn't really work cause Rites of Spring has barely any connectivity to Of 99. DC emo stuff became Fugazi post hardcore stuff, screamo had some influence from that but Page 99 drew a lot more from powerviolence and Western mass/Detroit area hardcore which also formed the Midwestern emo thing. Loma Prieta came around like 10 years later
Looking at the line up, it's way too many bands for 1 day and only 3 stages. Also $500 bucks for single day VIP first release is ridiculous. It should be a two day festival for that price.

Was emo a fashion in the 90s? Cus mcr and all those are deff at least reps of emo fashion of the day, but that's separate from music

nah emo cannot be a fashion. look at photos of well known emo bands like orchid pg99 saetia etc , they do not really have one "look". they just dressed and looked like normal ppl in every way....
