I have been told several times by several different treats enthusiasts that they didn't care about the health or well being of anyone working at game companies because, quote, "that's what they signed on for." One even said "if they don't have the P A S S I O N to work there they can work somewhere else. Simple." :so-true:
Software and game dev industries have always been famously brutal in the amount of commitment they expect from their employees. A lot of the guys from the 70s through 90s became multi-millionaires though, so good for them I guess.
and then they whine and moan when they don't get their treats cuss workers quite. Same attitude as chuds to servers and other fast food peeps quitting and not being supplied their treats.

it's like they somehow don't understand that it is difficult to develop software
