I used to be really into collecting games, but when it came time to move out I realized I had way too much stuff lol. I also didn't even want to play half the shit that I have, so I got rid of a lot of it. I probably buy a couple games a year now, but if it's a console game I'd much prefer it to be a physical copy

I'm sure that I'm in the minority here, but for JRPGs in particular I think I'll always want a physical copy. Last year I bought 13 Sentinels, SMT Nocturne, and SMT V. I wish physical copies for PS2 era games weren't so ridiculously expensive, cause there are a lot of hidden gems I never played. I can emulate them, but I want the cool box too 😞

    Nope. A few years ago I got rid of my entire media collection and cut the cord on cable. I have a few things I've kept for collector purposes (Halo Games, Myst, etc.) but the only thing I want physical copies of for anything at this point is books.

    I agree with everyone about the problems inherent to digital storefronts under capitalism, but that's what we have piracy for.
