    Yes, make phone memes!!

I am also a desktop guy, I use social media on a 4k screen with an extra side monitor. I hate the mobile web, I will never leave my desk

But I have been making vertical videos for about 5 or 6 months now and it's getting way way more views than my horizontal videos.

You make some great shit, and a lot of shitposty funny meme stuff that would be great for YouTube Shorts and Tiktok.

I double-post like 95% of my videos on both YouTube and Tiktok

I make primarily video game videos and a bunch of them have left agitprop at the end, and some are just left agitprop like these:

Just go back into all your video files,

    • set them to 1080x1920 (which is vertical)
    • squish the layers and shit around to fit
    • You can get away with zooming in only like 2x or 2.5x instead of 3x.
    • 3x just about fills the frame, 2x has big black bars but you can stick words and shit there.
    • Or you can put nothing there, people don't always care
    • Anything under 60s and vertical is automatically a Short on YouTube
    • TikTok has a much longer limit than 60s, i don't even know what it is
    • TikTok has a mechanic where you can like, use a popular audio track and put your own video on it, which seems to boost your shit if it's a popular "sound"

Some madlads even just make the video sideways and publish to Shorts and Tiktok, I've seen a few of those. People just turn their phones. Can be annoying though.

So anyway, the majority of my content is literally lower effort than yours, not as funny, and not as original.

But I published this one this morning: https://www.tiktok.com/@serlavarock/video/7055661297915989294 4.5k views and counting

this one yesterday: https://www.tiktok.com/@serlavarock/video/7052629531953351941 21k views 38k views, still trickling up

this one in October: https://www.tiktok.com/@serlavarock/video/7021357688013524229?is_copy_url=1&is_from_webapp=v1 23k views

These two in September: youtube.com/watch?v=rUNWdresAOw 16k views https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAd5BOc-Khk 13k views

    and so on.

I started with YouTube Shorts but my buddy recommended I just upload the same stuff on TikTok. Tiktok is a lot more fun honestly, and the algorithm is less weird and temperamental than YouTube. People comment way more on TikTok, they Like more, and they follow more. On YouTube people don't want to gum up their subscriptions too much, and the comments have such a bad reputation.

TikTok also just tells you which specific people liked your content or followed you. You can click on them and follow them back, or follow someone who liked your shit, and they'll often follow you back. I usually only follow people who also make content, and I have to make sure it's not chud ass content.

So I have almost 500 followers on TikTok but only like 59 on YouTube so far

I would love to see your shit popping up on TikTok and YouTube shorts :heart-sickle:
