What are the claiming they're right about? I work on a unit that's between 60-90% covid positive at any given time,, I'm vaxxed, boosted and always wearing a properly fitted N95 and I've yet to get covid. I'd say the vaccine works pretty well.
yeah, I'm tripled vaxxxed (what we would call Giga-Vaxxed) and have been exposed to actively sick people with COVID three times and nothing seems to have happened
I'm giga-vaxxed and I did catch covid because I was right next to someone without covid maskless for several days. However, my symptoms were incredibly slight.
I know more than a few people who got the vax and still got infected with Omicron. I've got a friend who works in pulmonology and he'll happily explain how the COVID vax (much like the flu shot) has its limits and that break-through cases aren't unknown.
We're worlds-off better than we were before the vaccine was released last year, but if you're unlucky or sloppy or lazy about getting boosted (or you got the J&J shot which is apparently next to worthless) then the risk of infection still exists.

I'm vaxed and got covid twice. Still have pneumonia from the second time. The vaccine doesn't prevent covid, it's not even advertised as doing so.
