As for your question, the worst thing you can do to a Redditor is call them cringe. I 100% guarantee that the people getting the most bent out of shape about the interview are all people who see some aspect of themselves that they hate in that mod and are taking it out on them. Add to that the fact that they all perceive this as their entire subreddit getting represented as cringey, and the act of attacking the mod can be cast as a form of defense of the community. "We aren't like that, see how we're laughing at them too?"
maybe they will notice how instantly trash and astroturfed those splinters, especially 'workreform', become and that will trigger some deeper systemic, materialist analysis and consciousness
