Spidey has always been working class. While the new movies are superficially better than the old ones, they fail because they turned him into a fucking cop.
You would have to pick a version of Spidey you liked first. Spidey has the most comic variants in the Marvel lineup, and it is not even close.
Roughly 40k Marvel comics to date and 3k+ of them are Spider-man comics with over two dozen major variants from Spider-Man 2099 to Spider-Ham to Spider-Noir.
