    The writer of the article suggests that it might be a way of reducing seat motor stress. Apparently tesla is having frequent warranty claims for seat motors.

    wtf why does it use motors? just have manual adjustment ffs

      Most cars built in the past 10 years have removed manual seat adjustment. Same goes for windows and mirrors.

          God it fucking sucks. My last car if I needed to move the seat all the way forward to fit something in the back it took one second, this one you have to stand there awkwardly bent over for like ten seconds holding the button down while the seat sloooooooooooowly moves. It's small but there's a dozen little things like that where technology was added where it wasn't needed that all make the car more annoying to use.

      I agree, we can't expect Tesla to make quality electric motors for car seats, this just isn't part of their business. Their main business is FSD fraud and the company's stocks.
