President Joe Biden’s top spokeswoman was asked about a decision by the company to add disclaimers linking to Covid-19 information hubs to any piece of content that includes discussion of the pandemic, vaccines, or Covid-19 itself. She responded that the change was a good step, but that the company could take steps (if it wanted) to actively prohibit content that contained misinformation that experts have warned is prolonging the pandemic and leading to more deaths.
If only there was a person or legislative body that could proactively do things about spreading misinformation about a deadly communicable disease. Hmm...
The Biden administration has taken a strong stance against Covid-19 misinformation, which Surgeon General Vivek Murthy said last year was contributing to more deaths and more Covid-19 cases especially in communities where vaccine mistrust remains high.
Strong stance, folks, remember that (just don't remember the "no federal solution" to COVID 19 plz)
The Android Spotify app is terrible in so, so, so many ways.
For half of Amlogic SOCs the Spotify application on Android has been crashing for over 5 years with no fix. Which means using Spotify in Amlogic TV boxes and many Chinese phones is either an exercise in frustration or doesn't work at all. So at least one in ten Android users can't even use the app reliably.
The Spotify app on Android - if installed on an external drive like USB or SD card - will download highly compressed versions of long files like podcasts that you have already downloaded at a high bit rate without you asking it to.
I am back to using Plex and PlexAmp with my own files. Fuck all the streaming companies at this point.
Love to hear "the next 30 minutes will be uninterrupted" followed by 1 song and then an ad
