Marxists say UK ruling class must brace themselves for the biggest ever rise in radical leftism and political unrest.

if only there was some sort of political party that could advocate for the workers in this situation... perhaps a sort of "Worker's Party" maybe? if only...

It’s like that scene in Futurama when Bender becomes Pharaoh - a new wave of austerity after over a decade of it already. They’re stress testing to see how far they can tighten the vice, as they absolutely have the capability to pull funds out of their ass when needed.

Record food bank usage, people having to choose between eating or heating, silent culling of disabled and trans people, and child poverty set to exceed 5 million.

But hey, at least the line is going up.

Workers in the so called United States of Amerikkka should brace themselves for the same! We, like the British Empire, share the fate of all imperialist nations. The treat flow shall stop, and life is going to get hard.

Around 20% of UK firms are 'zombies' kept afloat only by cheap credit. I don't know if a raise to 0.5% would be enough to topple them but I guess we'll find out!

The fact that the liberals weren't able to effectively set it up so that everyone knows this is the fault of conservative government just shows how bad they are at politics--on both sides of the Atlantic.

Keith Starmer, probably: "I'd just like to congratulate the opposition on doing such a terrific job under such challenging circumstances. Challenging for all of us, really. I'm honestly quite happy with the poll numbers we're seeing for Labour during such difficult times. It could be a lot worse."
