That's fascinating and the particular meter is something I never thought much about with regards to music and poetry in different languages. The rhyming and structure is definitely true to some extent in Korean music (esp kpop/rap/hip hop) — hard to say if it's just because ive been paying more attention, but I've noticed a lot more use of assonance in line endings than you get in English. Definitely seems like it would be more obvious and easier to come up with using hangul instead of the latin character set at any rate.
