This is the exact same thing as if the Nazis had a Jewish athlete light the Olympic flame in the 1936 Olympics.

the example this great mind of reddit gives is that the Nazis let one Jewish-German soldier work on the security team at the Olympic village. A soldier who killed himself before the games were even over because the literal fucking Nazis told him he was going to get fired afterwards just for being Jewish. because yeah that's definitely comparable to having Uighurs integrated into multiple sports teams and in high-profile positions, who most importantly aren't driven to suicide due to massive racism against them. :reddit-logo:

It's true that Uyghurs (along with many other minorities) were exempted from the One Child Policy, but they replaced it with a two-child policy in 2015, and last year replaced that with a three-child policy.
But the birth rate in China has continued to decline despite the government's efforts, and the reason is simply that they ended extreme poverty and brought a certain level of industrialization to every corner of the country. Uyghurs aren't being mandated to get IUDs, IUDs are covered by their subsidized healthcare plans - and as the population gets wealthier and the power balance between men and women is equalized couples are having fewer kids at an older age, just like they do in every other developed country.
