Gossip news about a US Senator that has been covered in zeeo legitimate news sources aside from a single twitter troll account who is obsessed with Kevin Sorbo and Taylor Swift and some chatGPT news sites that have reposted her tweet with zero additional information

12 hours and not a single confirmation? I'm giving this one a zero out of five pinnochios.

Jezebel is reporting on it at least, but I'd expect a story like this to trickle out at first. If there's going to be any big story about it, it will probably be an interview with him or her at some point. The original tweeter would probably be risking her job publishing something completely baseless about a senator they like. That's where it becomes interesting enough for me to repost. If it's bullshit then a NYT employee gets fired and that's funny, if it's true then maybe he'll snap and that's funny. Either way I'm a piggy with slop.

She does not actually appear to be is not a real journalist and is not actually listed anywhere on NYTs site.

The Jezebel article linked does not appear to confirm that she has deleted any pictures with him, only that she has deleted her twitter account. That's a pretty big leap to assume that's the same thing.

Divorce seems to break the male brain like nothing else. I'm so curious to see what happens with him now. He's going to go full monkey with Israel in a way that makes their own propaganda look normal.

This is a real phenomenon I have witnessed IRL, I am fascinated by the psychology behind it.

My working theory is called “The Mark Corrigan Theory”, named after the character on Peep Show. That character doesn’t even really seem to want to be married per se. But he does want to appear like a normal person who is definitely not some lonely weirdo (because he IS a lonely weirdo). Marriage confers a certain social status on guys. And not only does divorce rip that away, but these guys haven’t been on a date in 15-20 years and they have no idea how it all works and they aren’t in their prime anymore so that’s scary af to them. Louis CK sucks but his bit about divorce is spot on: getting divorced is like being in a time machine. Except it’s a really shitty time machine because however much time has passed, that’s how long you were actually in the machine.

    investigative journalist; intern @nytimes ; former @WSJ ; bylines in @forbes @dexerto ; send tips: mishas@nytimes.com

The source of the tweet is also a proper journalist, so it's not just a Christmas wish.

This does not appear to be definitively is not a real journalist. The NYT email does not appear real on probing and is actually formatted incorrectly as NYT seemingly only does first initial last name meaning if she did actually have an email at NYT it would be mschizarella@nytimes.com. She has zero bylines listed anywhere that I can find, is not on the list of NYT staff, and her listed surname is uh, extremely fake.

Asking your wife to condemn Hamas every time you see her is probably not the best idea
