My attention has been taken up entirely by the genocide happening in Gaza that I admit to kind of even forgetting that the Ukraine-Russia war was even taking place at all.
I stumbled upon this thread in the notoriously lib-brained Canada Politics subreddit. I guess I was feeling masochistic since I decided to read through the comment section and, holy shit, these people are on a completely different trip?
Of course I get a fair portion of my news and analysis from you good comrades, and whenever the war in Ukraine is brought up it just seems like an obvious forgone conclusion that the war was lost for Ukraine from the very start. I mean, fucking obviously; Russia is a nuclear power for chrissake. But these lib-brained dinguses seem to think that Russia's economy is destroyed, they're on borrowed time, they're running out of soldiers, etc etc.
Is this just pure projection? Because every single one of those points could IMO be used to describe Ukraine. Has there been any noticeable shift in the last four months or are these people just huffing copium and believing whatever dumb bullshit the CBC belches into their faces?
I already know the answer to this of course but I guess I would just appreciate some more perspective from any comrades who have been paying more attention to this war than I have.
Thanks
