    I do have to wonder, though. I live about a quarter mile from the railroad tracks. Those train horns are not audible even with a pair of regular headphones, much less noise cancelling ones. I don't have any trouble sleeping through them; my parent said it took about a week after they moved in to not get woken up by then. Truck horns are generally even less loud.
    So like, barring the handful of people that have a trucker essentially in front of their apartment, I really don't think this is as big a deal as people are making it out to be. Maybe if you have pets?

        to the most openly bigoted anyone can be allowed to be in Canada’s public spaces without hate crimeing (and even beyond).

        eh, we don't even lock people up for being Nazis anymore. they can probably get away with being as bigoted as they want.

      How dense is the development in your area though? It echoing through the streets is what makes it seem louder, like honking in a tunnel.
