It was a speed chess game that I just watched live. My brain told me black was toast but the eval bar said the position was equal. I couldn't believe it.
Black only had 11s and he must have decided it was hopeless so he resigned.
This seems like one of those stockfish even but not human even positions.
If it's late game and stockfish calls it perfectly even, that usually means one of the lines leads to a stale mate, in this case, by repetition. That does require both players to play "perfectly" and not make any huge blunders, but I wouldn't say it takes computer players to do that. If this wasn't speed chess, an IM and a GM would find it pretty quickly.
I only have a free account so I had to click a few times to get the analysis board. I almost laughed when I saw the move.
I wish it had been a far slower game and black still had many minutes left on his clock. I wonder if he would have found it.
I'm only 1100 so can't really comprehend what they were thinking but that just seems like a crazy line to see. I would have resigned like black did lol.
