ugh i hate that game. ESL here too, and I just played 4 words cuz you reminded me of the game. I got them correct, each on the 4th line, and the experience is always "ok first guess i got some letters. Second guess was bad. Third guess: do i even know any 5 letter words? Do I even speak English? Am I a bad person? Fourth guess: oh it was arena lol" rinse and repeat
From my observation, you're doing as well as the average native English speaker.
That's pretty normal, you need to rule out a lot of letters and potential words. Anything at 1 or 2 is just luck, 3 is rare and also based on a lot of luck depending on the word and then 4-5 are average I would say.
