I remember being 21 and I felt weird about dating 18 year olds. It just feels like a different world inside and outside of high school. Or in this guy's case, middle school.

This is just straight up grooming though.

I remember when I was 15 a guy I knew who was 16 hit on a 14 year old on one of those week long half term school trip and that was weird as all hell, especially since I was sharing a room with him while he was openly flirting with someone the rest of us thought of as a child. 21 on 13 is just plain fucked up though

Man it's nice to hear this perspective from other people because I had an 18 year old harasser when I was 14 and everyone thought it was fine/normal/cute because we were both in high school. At least it only lasted a year before he graduated.

I totally understand that and see that as fine, I'm just personally very conscious of power dynamics that come with age gaps.

Wait until your 30s. 18 year olds look like 13 year olds. It's weird as shit. You just don't notice how young that is when you're that young.

I taught at a uni immediately after graduating from one. And exactly this happened, after 2-3 years. It was like a flip switched and everyone looked like a damn middle schooler lol

      What mr_world said.

Went out with my wife last weekend to a nearby college town, we both thought all the (certain) college students in the downtown district looked like early high school/jr high age kids

      I'm a year shy of 30
