The oat (Avena sativa), sometimes called the common oat, is a species of cereal grain grown for its seed, which is known by the same name (usually in the plural, unlike other cereals and pseudocereals). While oats are suitable for human consumption as oatmeal and rolled oats, one of the most common uses is as livestock feed.

They're really good, is what I'm saying.

That's what I've been wondering this whole time. Like, sure, the media is utterly babybrained and a tool of US imperialism and does not have object permanence, absolutely. It still believes Russia is the Soviet Union. But even if the limbo bar of competency is so low it's virtually at the core-mantle boundary and they're still getting their drills, surely they recognize that Russia still has enough nukes to, if not outright destroy civilization, at least cause the greatest global catastrophe in human history? And if Russia does lose to the combined might of NATO, then Putin may fire the nukes?

Like, I know that our leaders and politicians and journalists are just embarrassingly stupid, but if there's one fact that they should have internalized during the Cold War, it's that the threat of nuclear annihilation is what has prevented nuclear powers from declaring war on each other? So why end that reality now? Why are they advocating for a situation where it's an order of magnitude more tense than the Cuban Missile Crisis for potentially months if not years on end? What's the end goal here? If it's just trying to improve Biden's midterms odds, a pretty likely reason for all this, has it not gotten a bit far now even for that?

The only outcome I can think of (other than it being proven that the ruling class are so unintelligent and so truly conditioned to think in terms of quarters and not in even years, let alone decades that they are barely sentient, and the world ends) is that somebody is gonna have to back down at some point here and take the L, and either the dudes at NATO or Putin will say "Okay, look, this was a great time but holyshitletsnotendtheentireworldoverUkraineforgodssake".
