There will be no reason to play any game very soon that does not reward you with crypto/staking/NFT rewards. I can't even play anything standard now that I have blockchained. Steam will eventually go the way of Blackberry if it doesn't adapt.
His profile mostly consists of trying to win NFT giveaways like those old "win a laptop just for completing a survey!" scams.
This is incredibly sad. Pro sports players talk about how after they start making money playing the game, they lose interest in playing pickup games and in watching games recreationally - the fact that they got paid to do what they love makes them stop loving it. I experienced a similar breakdown in enjoyment with respects to live theatre - loved it in high school/college, was absolutely miserable doing it as a job.
This person is probably just saying this and hasn't actually experienced a profound loss of love for a hobby, but on the off chance that it's real or it threatens gaming as a whole I feel extremely sorry for anyone it happens to.
