Good comrade shared these articles, passing along. Only part way thru 2nd, but found first to be very interesting and worthwhile, written by ex-Australian diplomat
It’s a decent read. Although the author got caught with his pants down (like most of us) by stating Russia wouldn’t advance any further than Donbass, lol
i hate to be so naive, but the first article certainly implies that kiev was responsible for the bombings in eastern ukraine, not the russians (not a false flag or w/e).
does the most credible information available support this? just incredibly brazen if true.
The Ukrainians have been shelling the far eastern provinces for the past several years because there's a large amount of Russian separatists in those areas. It increased drastically in the weeks leading up to the invasion, which has contributed to the tensions.
I've had some blinders on during this whole thing (one of many who didn't think this was really gonna go down), but as far as I can tell, there's not much of a dispute of that. I think I can grab a couple of sources if you'd like to see.

Cringe
Yeah I kinda did a double take there too, but honestly it was good enough that I’d completely forgotten by the end of the article

i believe it, but if it's not a pain to find the sources, that would be helpful for my future discussions

I didn't think it would happen either. I think a lot of us didn't.
